Kaatsu: The Modern Way to Grow Muscles Without Heavy Lifting

The fitness industry always has its way to introduce something new to the table. And while we have been used to the traditional way of achieving a leaner and sexier body through the use of heavy weight training exercises, you can now achieve the body you have been dreaming of through a lighter weight program. Yes, this is the revolutionary new fitness training people call as Kaatsu. Kaatsu is a kind of occlusion training which enables a person to gain muscles through the use of occlusion cuffs or bands.

A Little Background on Kaatsu

 

Although this might be a little new for other people’s hearing, this fitness training in fact started many decades ago in Japan. A well-known Japanese physician started this kind of training as a part of his research. He was looking for ways on how to stimulate muscle growth efficiently without the use of any strenuous training programs like heavy weight lifting or exercises. It was a trial and error at first but through his dedication and hard work, he was able to push everything through.

As a matter of fact, the first people to utilize this training were Japanese athletes who later on found out that they became more effective in the sports field after every Kaatsu session. After their rigid training, not only these athletes were able to gain muscles but they also had a better playing performance in the sports arena. They have improved a lot when it comes to their body strength and vigor and this enabled them to be triumphant during competitions especially during the Olympics.

It then became a well-celebrated fitness program wherein neighbouring countries adopted this exercise until it has reached different parts of the globe. Now, even famous celebrities who have been using this exercise are also appearing on various sports tabloids and magazines.

More About Kaatsu

 

Kaatsu came from two Japanese words “ka” and “atsu” which means to “to add pressure”. In order to know how to maximize muscle growth, it is imperative that you use a Kaatsu cuff or band with you. You should always remember that everything will not be effective without the use of these bands since they are in-charge of occluding the limbs. These devices are wrapped around the limbs or arms in order to add pressure to a certain muscle while performing a lighter weightlifting program.

The pressure enables an accumulation of lactic acid which will later on causes a stimulation of muscle growth, thus making the training effective.  There is nothing to be worried about the prices of these bands or cuffs because they are sold in the market at a very reasonable price. You just need to remember that this device should never be wrapped too tight or too loose for maximum positive effect.
